Responsibilities
Plan organize direct and lead the operations for the sport program including budgeting scheduling teaching and coaching. Effectively recruit prospective studentathletes to attend the University of New England. Assist with planning and implementing instructional practices that maximize the talent and potential of studentathletes while instilling values such as sportsmanship leadership and personal wellness. Function as a collaborative member of the department working toward common objectives and promoting a positive image of the University. Demonstrate high integrity and ethical behavior. Remain knowledgeable of and comply with all University policies NCAA Division III regulations and conference requirements. Demonstrate creativity initiative and a willingness to participate in departmental activities professional organizations and crosscampus collaborations (e.g. alumni relations intercultural affairs student affairs institutional advancement). Responsible for equipment and uniform inventory meal arrangements travel plans and coordination of facility use. As a secondary administrative duty contest management responsibilities outside of primary playing season and other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required (masters degree preferred) with 35 years previous collegiate coaching experience required or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Willingness to work nights weekends and travel extensively as required. Previous experience in related field Excellent communication skills Head coaching experience preferred. Demonstrate ability to relate to and motivate student athletes and to work with a variety of University staff alumni and the outside community. Must possess a valid drivers license.
