Principal is directly responsible to the School Principal. Administration is leadership service and coordination to the end that Franklins children shall have the best education possible within the school Responsibilities:Works to provide and maintain effective communication the promotion of staff and pupil participation the provisions for logistical planning and the promotion of staff and pupil morale. Performance Responsibilities:Assists in planning organizing and directing the implementation of all school activitiesAs required prepares various statistical and other reports relating to such matters as attendance enrollment figures and special reports required by the School AdministrationKeeps supervisor informed of events and activities of an unusual nature as well as routine matters related to the supervisors accountabilityMaintains active relationships with students and parentsAssists with scheduling classes within established guidelines to meet student needsAssists in the development revision and evaluation of the curriculumEstablishes guides for proper student conduct and maintaining student disciplineMaintains high standards of student conduct and enforces discipline as necessary according to due process rights of studentsAttends special events held to recognize student achievement and attends schoolsponsored activities functions and athletic events as requestedMaintains and controls the various funds generated by student activitiesSupervises the maintenance of accurate records on the progress and attendance of studentsAssumes responsibility for his or her own professional growth and development through membership and participation in the affairs of professional organizations; attendance at regional state and national meetings; and enrollment in advanced coursesKeeps abreast of changes and developments in the profession by attending professional meetings reading professional journals and other publications and discussing problems of mutual interest with others in the fieldEncourages professional study by members of the staffAssists in the recruiting screening hiring training assigning and evaluating of the schools professional staffOrients newly assigned staff members and assists in their development as appropriateAssists in the inservice orientation and training of teachers with special responsibility for staff administrative procedures and instructionsVisits classrooms observes and evaluates and counsels all staff members regarding their individual and group performanceActs as consultant resource and/or mentor to faculty in areas of responsibilityMakes arrangements for special conferences between parents and teachersAssumes responsibility for the safety and administration of the school plantSupervises fire drills drills and an emergency preparedness programAsserts leadership in times of civil disobedience in school in accordance with established Board policyProvides for adequate inventories of school property and for the security and accountability for that property Serve as an ex officio member of all committees and councils within the schoolServes as a member of such committees and attends such meetings as directed by the principalOther related duties as assigned by the Principal or his/her designeeTerms of Employment:Full year position.
