Job Description:

Salary range: $60000 $116000 per year; DOE

For the past five years ASUs Next Education Workforce Initiative has been working with school districts and charter management organizations in Arizona and now across the U.S. to envision design and launch teambased strategic school staffing models. All told Next Education Workforce has supported more than 150 schools across nearly 50 districts in 17 states to launch teambased staffing models.

We are seeking skilled K12 education leaders and experienced coaches who are excited to join this next phase of workhelping to scale and strengthen the implementation of teambased models across a growing number of schools and systems. Each person hired for this role will collaborate closely with the Next Education Workforce team and school and system leaders to contribute to implementation strategy provide regular inperson coaching to school leaders and codesign and facilitate professional learning experiencesboth virtual and inpersonthroughout the year.

Each person hired will be a member of the Implementation and Design team in the Next Education Workforce Initiative a group of 27 dedicated professionals who bring a wide range of experience in P12 education including former superintendents principals teachers paraeducators teaching artists and curriculum designers.

Given our growing partnerships in Michigan we are prioritizing the hiring of a coach based in the state. We are also looking to hire additional coaches to support our expanding work nationally. While those regions are still being finalized we will give preference to candidates who live in or near areas with active or emerging school partnerships and/or those who geographically proximate to those regions and can regularly travel there for coaching engagements.

Next Education Workforce models leverage educator teams to improve student outcomes and educator working conditions. Schools and systems partner with Arizona State Universitys Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College to design and implement staffing models that address the root causes of low and inequitable student outcomes teacher shortages and burnout.

Desired Qualifications:

An ideal candidate will be based in or near a region with active or emerging school partnerships and bring deep knowledge of local PK12 schools and education systems. Preference will be given to candidates who live near partner regions or can travel regularly. We are currently prioritizing a coach based in Michigan and additional coaches to support school and system partnerships in regions to be determined.

Working Environment:

This position requires travel within and beyond the region for onsite time with partner schools. The selected candidate will also be asked to travel to Arizona and potentially other regions several times a year. Percentage of travel time varies by month and home location.

Bachelors degree and five (5) years of experience appropriate to the area of assignment/field; OR Any equivalent combination of experience and/or training from which comparable knowledge skills and abilities have been achieved.
