Summary
The Health Extension Program Coordinator will perform assignments related to various ongoing research and community engagement tasks across different projects and grants under the direction of Dr. LaToya ONeal (PI) associate professor Extension Health and Wellness specialist and State Program Leader for Health Extension. Key responsibilities include: management and coordination of Health Extension Programs. In this capacity s/he will assist Dr. ONeal in all aspects of her extension and research projects.
Essential Functions
Extension
Serves as the program coordinator for Dr. ONeals Extension program. Activities as manager include: leading and/or attending weekly team meetings with faculty students and staff; managing IRB submissions and updates; working closely with community stakeholders and program participants to implement systems level support for healthy lifestyles; leading program sustainability and dissemination efforts; collecting managing and analyzing data; contributing to manuscript preparation and professional presentations. Supports Dr. ONeals extension activities such as designing and developing training and educational programs related to health and wellbeing.
Research
Serves as the research coordinator for Dr. ONeals research program. Activities as research coordinator include: leading weekly research team meetings with faculty and students; managing IRB submissions and updates; participating in research calls; facilitating focus groups conducting semistructured interviews administering surveys in group settings and other data collection activities; managing and analyzing research data; contributing to manuscript preparation and professional presentations. Supports Dr. ONeals research activities such as designing developing and implementing research projects. Should be comfortable with data analysis software and qualitative data analysis.
Travel
This position will require travel across the state for program related activities. Some travel out of state for meetings and conferences may be required.
Reporting
Maintains accurate data records IRB records and reports on different projects. Submits reports on time for supervisor or other designee. Should be comfortable using Microsoft Office Software.

Normal Work Schedule
Fulltime time limited exempt position 40 hours per week. Schedule is generally Monday through Friday 8:00 am 5:00 pm. However occasional evening early morning and weekend hours may be required.
In addition some overnight travel may be required.

Valid drivers license and reliable daily transportation for business travel required.
A masters degree in public health health education and behavior applied sociology or a closely related discipline.
Candidates should have demonstrated skills in verbal and written communication interpersonal relationships team leadership problemsolving and organization. Candidates must possess technological literacy and the ability to learn new software and technology.
Ability to utilize statistical software to analyze data and experience writing professional publications are preferred. The incumbent must be able to follow directions and complete reports. Ability to work both as a collaborator and independently preferred.
Willingness and ability to travel independently.
