Ortho Tech - Urgent Injury Clinic

Our Urgent Injury Clinic (UIC) is seeking an Ortho Tech to join the team! A great opportunity to gain direct patient care experience in a medical office setting. This position is fulltime and will support all UIC locations as needed with primary location at the West Des Moines office. You will assist our team of Advanced Practice Providers in the UIC by rooming patients gathering basic information and assist with carrying out the treatment plan. To thrive in this role you enjoy a fastpaced environment have a passion for patient care and can quickly adapt to patient needs.

The hours of our Urgent Injury Clinics are as follows: West: MondayThursday (10am 6pm) Friday (10am 5pm); Ankeny (7:30am3:30pm); Urbandale (7:00am3:00pm); All locations are open on Saturday 8am12pm. Saturday coverage in the UIC operates on a rotation.

Heres What You Can Expect

• Youll be on your feet most of the day greeting patients gathering basic information and assisting with patient care. You are the patients kind guide and reliable helper during their UIC visit assisting with casting bracing/splinting and wound care.
• Reaching stooping and walking while assisting patients with their care during visit
• A small closeknit team of professionals you can rely on who work closely with our doctors to provide patient care we are proud of.

• Passionate. You are passionate about patient care and assisting them to get back to living.
• Understanding. Understanding that our patients are hurting and may not be pleasant at times.
• Communication. You know how to communicate clearly and calmly. You know how important it is to listen ask questions and avoid interrupting. Ability to provider reassurance when patients are nervous.
