Job Summary:
Middle Park High School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Football Coach to join our coaching staff. The ideal candidate will possess a willingness to learn a passion for working with high school studentathletes and a commitment to fostering a positive and supportive team environment. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to develop and implement effective practice plans provide instruction and guidance to players and contribute to the overall success of the football program.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the football program including practice planning game strategy and player development.
- Provide direct instruction and coaching to studentathletes in specific position groups or skill areas as assigned by the Head Coach.
- Help to create and maintain a positive and disciplined team culture that emphasizes sportsmanship teamwork and respect.
- Assist with the organization and supervision of practices games and other team activities.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of all studentathletes under their supervision.
- Assist with equipment inventory maintenance and organization.
- Attend all required coaches meetings and professional development sessions.
- Adhere to all school district policies rules and regulations as well as the rules and regulations of the Colorado High School Activities Association (CHSAA).
- Communicate effectively and professionally with players parents other coaches and school administration.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated knowledge of football techniques strategies and safety practices.
- Previous coaching experience at the high school level or equivalent preferred.
- Strong communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Ability to motivate and mentor high school studentathletes.
- Commitment to the academic and personal development of studentathletes.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a background check as required by the school district.
- Possession of or willingness to obtain required CHSAA coaching certifications.
