Location: Doral FL
Required Clearance: Able to obtain a TS with SCI Eligibility
Certifications: AZ104 Microsoft Azure and Security
Required Education: Bachelors degree
Required Experience: Five plus (5) years of related experience in operations systems or technical control watch officer roles
Position Description:
PingWind is looking for a Coordinating Activity (CA) to work in the Joint DoDin Operations Center (JDOC) at U.S. SOUTHCOM in Doral Fl. The CA Activity (JDOC) is a critical role that supports the mission by providing enterprisewide IT services. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring enterprise networks systems and services reporting any abnormal behavior that could indicate outages or hazardous conditions. This person will coordinate and direct teams in response to operational events. The position requires a proactive approach to ensure continuous support to the JDOC and adheres to established change management processes.
Responsibilities:
Independently provides advanced level technical interpretation and solutions in the management of networks software hardware configurations and architectures
Troubleshoots system hardware and software specific issues that are moderate to high complexity in scope
Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
Performs advanced software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance level
Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
Independently ensures data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
Conducts advance hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards policies and configuration guidelines
Ensures performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
Applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. May provide guidance to lessexperienced personnel
Evaluates existing systems and assists with planning longterm strategies
May coach and review the work of lessexperienced professionals
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 5 years of relatable experience
Must be able to obtain a TSSCI clearance
AZ104 Microsoft Azure and Security
Desired Qualifications/Experience:
U.S. SOUTHCOM or Joint experience
