Position Details:

As a studentfocused and driven position the Assistant Director of College Success is responsible for supporting graduates of urban schools who are attending Wentworth. This position will collaborate with staff to develop maintain and execute a robust and thoughtful student support system students involved in Wentworths College Access and Success programming through the Center for Community & Culture (CCC). The position will focus on developing programming and supporting the CCCs College Access and Success Team to execute the institutes existing Boston Pipeline programming in addition to the Centers new program Bridges Academy which supports students affiliate with the Center through community college success strategies and industry connections. The position will support leadership in documentation and evaluation and assessment practices for the Centers programs partnerships and participants.

Responsibilities:

Student Support & Management (50%): The Assistant Director will be responsible for providing holistic individualized case management for graduates of urban schools who are attending Wentworth focusing on a students academic socialemotional and financial needs. The position will work across departments to increase the students access to oncampus and offcampus resources ensuring students are better prepared to address challenges. The position will collaborate with CCCs College Access and Success Team to develop execute and maintain a comprehensive student support system for students affiliated with the Center.

Program Facilitation (30%): The position will be responsible for supporting the execution of Wentworths Success programming for students affiliated with the Division for Inclusive Excellence. The position will focus on supporting the following programming: RAMP Wentworths precollege summer transition for Boston youth; Bridges Academy; our Industry Mentor Program. In collaboration with the Director of Campus Culture and Connection the position will also facilitate dialogues trainings and workshops for students and student organizations on topics related to culture and community.

Internal Collaboration (10%): The position will collaborate with and maintain internal partnerships (Admissions Success Studio Student Affairs etc.) to give students the best opportunity to succeed in higher education as prioritized by CCCs College Access and Success Team. The position shall intend to have a deep understanding of the institute and the internal and external resources available to students in need.

Program Development & Assessment (10%): The position will be responsible for supporting the development evaluation and assessment of all Success programming partnerships and participants in collaboration with Division leadership. The position will be responsible for tracking student touchpoints access to resources success and challenges facing each student and the cumulative population. The position will help maintain and develop qualitative and quantitative practices to properly evaluate and assess yearly programming and key partnerships signifying the institutes positive impact on urban youth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree

  • 35 years experience in education youth services or communitybased organizations.

  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in higher education

  • Experience working with and supporting high school and/or college students from urban and culturally diverse environments

  • Crisis management/support experience

  • Experience developing and delivering programming

  • Experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders

  • Experience in workshop facilitation including the design and implementation of studentcentered workshops and trainings
