We are looking for someone who has exceptional customer service skills is highly collaborative and willing to go the extra mile to provide a welcoming and inclusive experience for LCCs diverse student population. The Outreach Navigator is an active participant of LCCs Student Services Council focused on collaboration and coordination of holistic student support across a students educational journey. Serving as a liaison from the Outreach department the Navigator must build and maintain highly collaborative relationships across campus with Advising Effectiveness and College Relations Faculty Financial Aid OneStop Registration Testing and other campus services to ensure excellent service and support to students.
The Bilingual Outreach Navigator is classified as a Program Specialist 2 and is 40 hrs/week. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday 8 am to 5 pm with some evening and weekend responsibilities. There is a 5% assignment pay premium for use of Spanish skills in addition to the posted salary range (following Spanish assessment). The Bilingual Outreach Navigator reports to the Director of Outreach Services.
Develop and maintain relationships with the Hispanic/Latino community and provide specific outreach to Spanishspeaking communities through events such as assisting with Financial Aid applications (FAFSA/WAFSA) scholarship or college application support and attending community activities.
Support the Director and Assistant Director in delivering targeted outreach and recruitment activities to historically underrepresented student populations including communities of color lowincome communities students with disabilities opportunity youth and adult populations.
Demonstrate cultural competence including awareness and understanding of historically underrepresented populations and create an educational and work environment that affirms commitment to equity diversity and inclusion.
In support of the Director of Outreach develop and implement communication plans to keep prospective students on track with key activities to enroll and advance towards completion and transfer/career goals.
Provide accurate and timely information to CTE Dual Enrollment high school students parents school teachers administrators and district officials representing the College at programs for the Dual Enrollment high school market and encouraging dual credit students to consider attending LCC upon graduation.
Work in collaboration with LCC Deans of Instruction Registration CTE faculty and other Workforce staff to ensure accurate Programs of Study transcript evaluation and agreements.
Maintain current and accurate documentation of Programs of Study (POS) as required by the Carl D. Perkins Act of 2018.
Maintain accurate paper and digital files forms contact information.
Evaluate high school transcripts and/or grade sheets and assist with the transcription of CTE Duel Credit in ctcLink in partnership with LCCs Registration staff as requested.
Provide enrollment reports and data for incoming dual credit students.
Plan facilitate host and participate in outreach events including presentations and orientations to new and prospective students high school counselors LCC advisors and other parties that promote LCC opportunities including dual credit application support enrollment processes scholarship and financial aid and other activities related to community engagement and college outreach and recruitment.
Provide campus tours and oncampus visits.
In partnership with the Outreach Director engage business industry and other external partners to participate in a variety of activities that enhance students understanding of various aspects of the industry related to their field of study and engage employers in a variety of career related learning experiences.
Maintain accurate files forms contact information and tracking of prospective students including using college systems and tools.
Manage a designated group of new students in order to complete welcoming activities and communications such as text message communication tracking New Student engagement and referring students to appropriate LCC resources.
Monitor enrollment and achievement indicators to ensure access retention and completion of diverse student populations.
Work closely with the student ambassadors and OneStop Center to ensure seamless onboarding for students.
Maintain positive relationships with all participating schools LCC staff and faculty local industry higher education partners and community members

Minimum Qualifications
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Associates Degree in Education Communications Social sciences Business Marketing Counseling or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Demonstrated experience of working effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
Selfstarter with high degree of motivation energy flexibility and integrity
Strong oral written and interpersonal communications skills
Sound organizational and problemsolving abilities
Demonstrated proficiency with computer processing software presentation software and/or social media tools
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in field appropriate to outreach and recruiting such asBusiness Administration Communications Education Marketing Social Sciences Student Development or related field appropriate to outreach and recruiting
Previous experience in an educational setting (K12 or higher education)
Knowledge of student development theories and practices
Experience in student recruitment admissions or related field

Conditions of Employment
If you are hired you will need to provide proof of identity and documentation of U.S. citizenship or appropriate legal authorization to work for the duration of this position as required by the Immigration Reform Control Act of 1995.

This position is part of a bargaining unit subject to the WFSE HE collective bargaining agreement.

Anticipated Start Date
