About the Role:
Seeking a dedicated and flexible CredentialedTeacher to jointheHome and Hospital Instruction (HHI) Program. This position supports students with temporary medical or mental health conditions that make inperson attendance impossible or unfeasible. Instruction is delivered individually in students homes hospitals on Zoom or alternative settings within Oakland.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide oneonone instruction to students in grades TK12 who are unable to attend school due to medical needs.
- Design and implement lessons aligned with California state standards across multiple subjects and grade levels.
- Coordinate with students teachers families and support staff to ensure alignment with classroom instruction.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance instruction and student progress in accordance with district guidelines.
- Travel throughout Oakland to provide inperson instruction in home or hospital settings.
- Communicate regularly with school teams families and administrators to support students transition back to school when appropriate.
Qualifications:
- Valid California Multiple Subject or Single Subject Teaching Credential.
- Strong instructional skills and ability to differentiate across various grade levels and subjects.
- Ability to work independently manage time effectively and adapt to changing schedules.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bilingual in Spanish

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelors degree must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess or be willing to earn a California teaching credential. Candidates must have two current professional references on file including one from a previous supervisor.
