Job Description:
As a senior member of the $6.2B Integrated Mission Systems segment FP&A team
this individual will be a key partner to executive leadership helping shape the financial strategy and delivering insights that drive performance across the organization.
This individual will support efforts related to the preparation of the monthly management reports various metrics and ad hoc corporate and segment level requests for presentation to Corporate and Segment leadership. This individual also supports our quarterly operating reviews strategic planning and annual operating plan deliverables working directly with our segment leadership. In addition this individual will play a key role in the expansion of standardized database reporting and analysis in the utilization of Hyperion forecast planning tools.
Essential Functions:
- This role will support segment budgeting and planning financial system conversions and business process integration various business initiatives ad hoc analyses and ensuring forecasts financial information analyses and reports delivered to corporate and segment management are timely accurate and informative.
- The ideal candidate is a selfstarter who collaborates cross functionally with a variety of individuals across all levels of the organization and must be able to effectively interface with executive management
- Candidate should have the ability to analyze forecasts to identify leading indicators driving key financial metrics (earnings cash flow revenue) while assessing associated risks and opportunities outside of forecasts
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 12 years prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 15 years of prior related experience
- Demonstrated financial modeling and forecasting skills with keen attention to detail and ability to thrive under pressure
- Experience in general financial management to include general accounting or cost and program accounting
- Demonstrated excellent computer skills with strong proficiency in Hyperion HFM/Planning platform and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated understanding of government contract accounting including quoting progress payments milestone and percent of completion billing
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Exceptional interpersonal leadership and decisionmaking skills
- Detailed understanding of ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers
- Demonstrated ability at developing plans for short and longterm results
- Excellent communication (both oral and written) and listening skills an orientation to details and the ability to make quick informed decisions a creative problem solver
- Willingness to take ownership and accept accountability
- Proven ability to interact and influence team members at all organizational levels; ability to manage effectively both upward and downward
