Are you a selfmotivated passionate software engineer eager to shape the technical foundation of Amazons employee experience Join the Amazon A to Z Framework team the backbone of A to Z Amazons flagship employeefacing application used by millions daily across mobile and web platforms. Our team builds and owns the core Tier2 services and frameworks that power the personalized secure and scalable experiences delivered by every other A to Z team. As a Software Development Engineer on the A to Z team youll drive the development of foundational platform capabilities that simplify service creation enhance system reliability and ensure consistent experiences across devices. Youll work with modern AWS technologies and serverless architectures to deliver robust lowlatency services that operate globally. Our mission is to abstract complexity accelerate development across the org and raise the engineering bar for A to Z.
Youll collaborate closely with partner teams product managers and design to create seamless building blocks that scale across use cases from pay and scheduling to onboarding learning and internal communications. We use LLM/GenAI technologies that can scale to serve millions of Amazonians globally. This is a highimpact role with visibility technical breadth and room to innovate at scale.
Key job responsibilities
Design and deliver scalable highlyavailable services that serve our global workforce across diverse workflows and countryspecific requirements
Build endtoend solutions using modern serverless technologies and AWS services ensuring exceptional performance and reliability
Drive datadriven technical decisions while maintaining high standards in complex ambiguous environments
Collaborate with product and design partners to create intuitive user experiences that simplify complex workflows
Innovate and improve our engineering practices while maintaining operational excellence
Mentor fellow engineers and contribute to building a strong engineering culture
Take ownership of critical features from design through production ensuring they meet enterprisescale requirements
Leverage foundational GenAI models to design and implement intuitive builder experiences that enable partner teams to rapidly develop and launch services on the A to Z platform

As part of our team youll collaborate with stakeholders to create seamless user experiences while adhering to platform standards and governance. Youll solve complex technical challenges that impact millions of users. Your work will directly influence how Amazonians interact with essential workplace tools and information.
3 years of noninternship professional software development experience
2 years of noninternship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
Experience programming with at least one software programming language
3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on jobrelated knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity signon payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
