POSITION: Steel Material Handler 2
SHIFT: Monday Thursday 4:00 pm 3:30 am (OT as needed)
PAY RATE: $19.00 21.00 per hour (Depending on Experience) $2 shift differential Full Benefits Package
LOCATION:Lubbock TX
Our Material Handlers play a key role in the production process contributing to the overall success of the company. This is a mostly outdoor position where our Material Handlers use overhead cranes forklifts and other equipment to safely and efficiently transport steel and other items across our site. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Embrace and demonstrate the qualities of the TNS Game Changer definition.
- Follow all company safety and quality requirements.
- Mastered all aspects of level 1 position
- Ability to efficiently and safely operate applicable equipment to unload load and distribute material with minimal supervision.
- Ability to communicate with team members verbally and nonverbally.
- Ability to work efficiently in all forms of weather (wind heat cold rain snow).
- Willing to work flexible hours and overtime or weekends as needed.
- Prompt and dependable attendance.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Assists in prioritizing and coordinating daily activities
- Assist in training and mentoring material handlers
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
- Able to operate mobile cranes if site requirement.
- Exhibit strong skills in material identification.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills.
- Exhibit basic computer skills.
- Plan and organize work to meet deadlines.
- Understand and follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to read a tape measure (imperial and metric).
- Ability to work with others.
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Forklift certified preferred.
- 35 years of experience
