Job Description
Meet the Press with Kristen Welker is looking for a Researcher/Production Associate with exceptional editorial skills strong news judgment a demonstrated expertise in covering politics and policy as well as strong tape digital and social skills.
Responsibilities:
- Work with graphic artists and graphics coordinator to conceive develop and execute graphics
- Translate political polling to television with attention to detail
- Generate and pitch show ideas program guests and franchise segments
- Produce political panel
- Gather sound and assist with Meet the Press interview elements and spots
- Produce guest research and write questions for Meet the Press moderator
- Shoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms and elements for broadcast
- Edit show promos early release clips and other show franchises
- Identify top newsmaking moments for NBC News affiliates
- Assist with show archiving
- Edit and socialize breakout clips for social platforms including TikTok Instagram and
- Contribute to Meet the Press blog
- Assist with podcast production for The Chuck ToddCast and other audio projects
Qualifications :
- At least 2 years of experience in news production
- At least 2 years of tape field and editing experience
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience
- Must be willing to work in Washington DC
- Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
- Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and holidays as required

Additional Requirements:
- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits including medical dental and vision insurance 401(k) paid leave tuition reimbursement and a variety of other discounts and perks.
