Our team provides quality workmanship and outstanding service to our customers who are represented by public utilities government agencies general contractors and businesses.
As we continue to grow we are searching for motivated and experienced foreman to join our Vancouver team!
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Organizes work to get the most productivity out of the crew by instructing employees where to go what to do and what equipment and/or materials will be needed.
- Participates in preproject and pretask planning activities (reviews plans subgrade drainage fine grading compaction etc.) and then relays planning details to field crew.
- Coordinates with Operations Assistant to order correct amount of materials needed for concrete patching.
- Supervises oversees and trains crew to ensure work is performed properly and to AAs highest quality standards. Checks all work for quality periodically throughout the project and at the end of the job.
- Performs all aspects of the job including general laboring and operating equipment; makes it a priority to train others in all aspects of the job.
- Solves problems as they arise and contacts Superintendent for assistance if unable to resolve the problem.
- Completes all related electronic paperwork via Field Services/Dynamics and Workforce Go (HCMtoGo) correctly and on time.
- Ensures compliance and personally follows all safety rules and regulations (including flagging truck and equipment operations etc.) and practices preventative safety measures; wears required PPE.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Valid Class A CDL preferred with a good driving record.
- Indepth knowledge of construction procedures equipment and safety guidelines with one year of experience working on an asphalt and/or concrete crew.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Ability to communicate and report effectively.
- Strong problemsolving skills and aptitude in math.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to work weekends and occasional nights.
- Ability to travel to various worksites.
- Ability to work long hours and in all weather conditions.
