What youll do
Become part of an iconic brand that is set to revolutionize the electric pickup truck & rugged SUV marketplace by achieving the following:
- Provide legal and strategic advice and counseling on a wide variety of commercial matters including with respect to both direct/production and indirect/nonproduction procurement decisions
- Draft review negotiate and support contracts and other legal documents relating to construction real estate procurement manufacturing operations logistics and other matters
- Develop form documentation templates and contracting processes procedures and training for the Purchasing and Supply Chain Teams
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with the Production Construction and Purchasing Teams
- Collaborate with other Legal Team colleagues on special projects as we grow and develop Scouts legal culture and functions
- Work together with outside counsel when necessary or appropriate
Location & Travel Expectations:
- This role will be based out of the Scout Motors location(s) in Tyson VA Novi MI OR Columbia SC.
- The responsibilities of this role requireattendance at inperson meetings and events regularly.
- Applicants should expect that the role will require the ability to convene with Scout colleagues in person and travel to participate in events on behalf of the companyfrom time to time.
What youll bring
We expect all Scout employees to have integrity curiosity resourcefulness and strive to exhibit a positive attitude as well as a growth mindset. Youll be comfortable with change and flexible in a fastpaced highgrowth environment. Youll take a collaborative approach to achieve ambitious goals. Heres what else youll bring:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and member in good standing of the bar in at least one state in the United States
- Between 6 and 12 years of legal experience including experience as an inhouse counsel (ideally automotive industry)
- Significant experience drafting reviewing and negotiating complex commercial agreements preferably experience with supplier and manufacturing related agreements
- Experience reviewing and negotiating construction production and real estate related agreements preferred
- Experience and desire to play a key role in a growing legal team that will provide strategic and business advice in addition to legal counseling
- Keen attention to detail
- Ability to work well across departments and strengthen company culture through effective collaboration

Pay Transparency
This is a fulltime exempt position eligible to receive a base salary and to participate in an annual performance bonus program. Final salary offered will be determined based on factors including but not limited to the candidates skills and experience. The annual performance bonus program is preset and not candidate dependent.
Initial base salary range $150000.00 $180000.00
