Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Management Engineering Intern to join our team in Orange California office.

Internships at AECOM offer students in undergraduate and graduate programs the opportunity to gain valuable handson experience in engineering design and infrastructure projects that make a realworld impact. This position is expected to begin in June 2025.

The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to:

  • Develop analytical and project management skills.
  • Assist in the inspection and oversight of construction projects under the guidance of experienced engineering professionals.
  • Contribute to the creation of project schedules budgets and reports.
  • Support the preparation of construction documents including drawings and specifications.
  • Collect and analyze project data to inform decisionmaking.
  • Utilize software tools to assist in project management and problemsolving.
  • Ensure project tasks are completed on time and within budget while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications :

Minimum Requirements:

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelors degree in Civil Engineering focusing on Construction Management or a related field and must have completed at least three years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelors degree and plan to continue with the masters degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Recent graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelors degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.
  • Valid U.S. Drivers License required to visit project sites clients and other AECOM offices.  

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in construction or familiarity with construction activities and fieldwork.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings and specifications.
  • Basic knowledge of Bluebeam and/or Adobe Acrobat.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including MS Projects.
  • Strong organizational skills and a proactive innovative mindset.

  • Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
  • Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available for this position now or in the future.
  • This position requires a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check.
