Position Overview: We are seeking a talented Software Engineer I with a strong background in Python development. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals with 13 years of experience who are passionate about writing clean efficient and scalable code. As a Software Engineer I at Tekion you will be working on impactful products that help transform the automotive industry. Experience with Golang is a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design develop and maintain Pythonbased applications and services.
• Write welltested maintainable code with a focus on scalability and performance.
• Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to define software requirements and implement solutions.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging complex issues across multiple systems.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure the best practices are being followed.
• Work in an Agile environment contributing to sprint planning standups and retrospectives.
• Continuously learn and stay up to date with new technologies and best practices.
• Contribute to the design and architecture of new features and product enhancements.
• If experienced in Golang assist in integrating Pythonbased systems with Golangbased services.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
• 13 years of experience in software development with a focus on Python.
• Strong proficiency in Python programming including experience with frameworks like Flask Django or FastAPI.
• Familiarity with relational databases (MySQL PostgreSQL etc.) and ORM frameworks.
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Experience with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to debug complex issues.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Golang is a plus.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS GCP Azure).
• Experience with testing frameworks (unit testing integration testing).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
