Job Title: Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer (Level 2)
Location:Pune India

Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and motivated Azure Virtual Desktop Engineer with Level 2 expertise to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our Azure Virtual Desktop environment ensuring seamless operation and high performance. This role involves a variety of tasks including session host imaging monitoring application management and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Azure Virtual Desktop Management:
- Oversee the deployment configuration and maintenance of Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
- Ensure high availability and performance of virtual desktops.
- Imaging of Session Hosts:
- Create and manage images for session hosts.
- Ensure images are uptodate and optimized for performance.
- Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor the health and performance of the Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
- Implement optimization strategies to enhance user experience and resource utilization.
- App Attach and Application Management:
- Manage application delivery using App Attach.
- Convert applications from EXE to MSIX and VHDX formats.
- Modernize legacy applications for compatibility with Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Automated Deployment:
- Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts and processes.
- Utilize PowerShell scripting for automation tasks.
- Reporting and Analytics:
- Generate reports on usage performance and other key metrics.
- Use KQL queries and Log Analytics to create dashboards and insights.
- FSLogix Profiles and App Masking:
- Manage FSLogix profiles to ensure efficient user profile management.
- Implement app masking to control application visibility.
- Basic Intune and Azure Networking:
- Integrate Azure Virtual Desktop with Intune for device management.
- Configure and manage Azure networking components relevant to Azure Virtual Desktop.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience with Azure Virtual Desktop management and optimization.
- Proficiency in imaging and maintaining session hosts.
- Strong knowledge of App Attach and application conversion (EXE to MSIX/VHDX).
- Experience with application modernization techniques.
- Expertise in automated deployment using PowerShell scripting.
- Ability to create and analyze reports using KQL queries and Log Analytics.
- Familiarity with FSLogix profiles and app masking.
- Basic understanding of Intune and Azure networking.
- Excellent problemsolving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in Azure or related technologies.
- Experience with creating dashboards in analytics platforms.
- Knowledge of additional scripting languages or automation tools.
