Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit an ambitious and energetic Structurer who will help Candi to lead the revolution of solar by focusing on the financial structuring of Open Access/wheeling solar projects. Given that Candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools the role will require creativity innovation and a new way of thinking.
Specifically the job involves taking a prominent role in the following as part of a Global function:
- Managing Open Access solar transactions including negotiation due diligence financial modelling coordinating stakeholders legal documentation and any aspect requiring attention in order to bring transactions to a successful close
- Working closely with Business Development Risk Engineering Finance and Asset Management in order to successfully close these deals
- Performing financial structuring and legal analysis on target deals to come up with optimal solutions for Candi and clients
- Helping to define and execute on a strategy for accelerating the pace and conversion of Open Access projects
- Reviewing and negotiating legal documentation with external parties as required
- Developing Candis processes and tools (financial models template legal documentation etc) for Open Access projects
Location: Gurgaon Mumbai Mohali Bangalore or Pune (combined with working from home)
Hours: Full time (those wishing to work less than full time will also be considered depending on experience).
Job Requirements:
- 510 years of relevant experience in financial and/or legal structuring at a financial institution corporate utility or law firm
- Several years of experience structuring captive / group captive Open Access or utility scale solar projects in India
- Experience with Open Access regulations including their commercial and risk considerations
- An affinity for numbers and quantitative matters being very comfortable with financial models (i.e. proficient in excel)
- A solid understanding of financial risks
- A solid understanding of solar financial products
- Experience with legal documentation i.e. an ability to review contracts and some experience in negotiating them with third parties
- Being at ease with coordinating and interacting with various stakeholders (internal and external)
- Being good at juggling multiple transactions and projects at the same time
- A track record of thriving in a fastpaced environment and an ability to work towards and hit KPIs
- Being a selfstarter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Being very comfortable working in the digital realm using tools such as Microsoft Office / Google suite and other remote working tools
- Excellent written and spoken English required additional languages are a plus
- A degree in finance business law or related qualifying experience
