ISS STOXX ESG is looking for an Analyst to join their Alternative Research team in Mumbai Goregaon (E).
Overview:
ESG Research a division of ISS STOXX provides a wide range of marketleading research ratings and screening solutions for investors to develop policies practices and engagement criteria for their portfolio holdings. A division of ESG Research is Integrated Solutions which is organised around three ESG Research verticals. The Alternative Research team is one of these verticals.
The Alternative Research Analyst will be responsible for actively supporting the design and production of ESGrelated research solutions dedicated to nonlisted entities and alternative investments such as real estate infrastructure private equity private credit etc. The role requires active involvement with quality management and process enhancement to independently assess ESGrelated alternative investment data. It also requires close interaction with other Analysts and internal stakeholders (Integrated Solutions Methodology Product and Data Governance).
Responsibilities:
Actively supporting the design and production of ESGrelated research solutions dedicated to nonlisted entities and alternative investments with a strong focus on quality management and process enhancement.
Independently assessing ESGrelated and nonfinancial data both qualitative and quantitative to deliver detailed reports.
Independently conducting endtoend sustainability assessments of alternative investments in line with approved methodologies and processes.
Developing a thorough understanding of relevant ESG standards and frameworks.
Working collaboratively and crossfunctionally with internal stakeholders from Integrated Solutions Methodology Product and Data Governance.
Reporting to the Alternative Research Team Lead and working closely with other Analysts.
Qualifications:
Masters degree in a relevant field (Finance Economics Statistics Sustainability Engineering) with a high level of curiosity in ESG topics. CFA CAIA CFAs Certificate in ESG Investing seen as a plus.
23 years of prior work experience in capital markets investment research ESG/sustainability research or data analysis. Prior experience in alternative investments seen as a plus.
Strong quantitative/analytical skills critical thinking and excellent attention to detail.
Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
Selfmotivation eagerness to learn and ability to perform in a global environment.
Proficiency in using MS Office.
