Responsibilities:
With a focus on SAP BW and SAP BPC the development and deployment of business Intelligence Solutions to support evolutionary business change requirements
Specify design and develop business / process enhancing BI solutions using preferred business reporting tools and data warehouses. Preferred tools / DBs being
SAP BW
SAP BPC
Oracle DB
Support established inhouse developed BW / BPC solutions
Document existing BW / BPC solution to assist in migration to various reporting platforms.
Add value to existing business processes / procedures by improving efficiency and effectiveness
Skills qualifications & knowledge
On the job current experience of:
Extensive hands on experience of specifying designing and developing process enhancing business intelligence solutions using SAP BW SAP BPC and Oracle DB
Skills to include:
Using full features of the Data Transfer Process (DTP) Transformations Data Store Objects (DSO).
Able to Model and build Info cubes Info objects Info sets and Multi Providers.
Ability to write reports using BEx Query Designer and Analyser.
Strong technical problem solving
Excellent communication skills
SAP BUSINESS PLANNING AND CONSOLIDATION:
Setting up environment configuring models and dimension enabling seamless integration of master data and hierarchies with underlying transaction systems
Configuring Transformation and conversion files data manager packages package links for extracting and performing task on data.
Setting up the initial ownership structure and defining the rate input templates
Drafting currency translation rules (both periodical & YTD) elimination and adjustment rules US elimination rulescarryforward rules accountbased calculations rules
Writing logic scripts collaborating with ABAP team members on functional aspects for BADIs
Designing EPM reports and input templates from consolidation and planning needs.
Backup procedures
Creation of queries info areas aggregation levels key figures characteristics composite providers variablesreports and input templates using HANA Studio and BEX Query.
Key responsibility areas
Work with Business to analyse requirements design and deliver BW / BPC based solutions.
Use tools to perform Data Transfer Process Transformations and BEx Query Designer and Analyser
Provide support for data migration projects as and when
Understand the business data requirements and translate it into solution framework/ architecture
Manage plan prioritise and work to tight deadlines
Ensure effective communication with business and project stakeholders
Coordinate the development of code elements and review.
Participate in all phases of project lifecycle Design Development System Testing UAT support Deployment Support Post Production Support
Review and finalize the project scope and deliverables with Application Development and Functional Support manager.
Obtain acceptance for all deliverables from the business.
Ensure adherence to locally defined standards for all developed BW / BPC solutions
Provide technical leadership on the use of tools to perform Data Transfer Process and data profiling
