Job Summary:
Mercury Hampton Ltd. is seeking an experienced and detailoriented CNC Setter/Operator to join our Clients well established team.
In this role you will be responsible for setting up and operating various CNC machines to produce highquality and precise parts. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background excellent attention to detail and the ability to work in a fastpaced and dynamic environment.
Our Client has a modern machine shop which has seen heavy investment in the latest machinery they run sliding head and twin spindle twin turret machines and training can be given on spindle machines if required.
They supply some of the biggest and most prestigious production lines in the world and are a strategically important supplier to their customers and have long term supplier agreements in place.
Key experience:
Experienced in setting sliding head machines
Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate various CNC machines including lathes mills and grinders
Read and interpret technical blueprints and engineering drawings
Select and load raw materials into machines
Use precision measuring tools to ensure parts meet strict tolerance requirements
Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on machines
Inspect finished parts for defects and make necessary adjustments as needed
Maintain accurate production records and report any issues to the team leader or manager
Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in CNC setting/operating
Strong technical skills and ability to read technical blueprints and drawings
Proficient in using precision measuring tools
Good mechanical aptitude and problemsolving skills
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work with complex specifications
Strong work ethic and ability to work in a team environment
Experience with Fanuc or Siemens controls is preferred
