Business Technology Solutions is responsible for the Councils information technology network and resources. BTS procures and maintains all computer hardware and software together with the network that connects it all together and to other organisations. This includes Fife Councils telephone systems electronic data storage and the IT applications that support service delivery.
The Directorate Solutions Teams are part of Business Technology Solutions (BTS) and are responsible for the development delivery and support of Directorate and Servicespecific ICT platforms and solutions and to ensure effective linkages with Councilwide ICT strategic priorities and delivery.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two System Specialists in the Health & Social Care and Trusts Directorate Solutions Team.

The Person
You will be educated to SCQF level 7 which includes HNC or Advanced Highers or equivalent vocational accreditation in a computing / systems or related discipline or equivalent experience.
You will be expected to work with a high level of independence and be comfortable in both documenting your work and reporting to your peers.
You must have significant experience of supporting and managing application lifecycles.

While the significant part of the role can and will be carried out remotely candidates should be able to travel to and attend office locations in Fife as required.
