Job Description

Reporting Analyst

Here at Howdens we are looking for a Reporting Analyst on a 12month fixed term contract to join our Data and Insight department based in Raunds under the Report Development Manager you will be responsible for the creation and management of reports for field management commercial and group colleagues.

Based in Raunds 4 days a week this role is easily commutable from Rushden Wellingborough Kettering Corby Northampton and Bedford.

Role Responsibilities

  • Ensuring reports are accurate and concise reflecting the performance of the business allowing the user of reports to make necessary decisions and act upon the information contained.
  • Creating and maintaining accurate reporting schedules to assist in efficient communication across the team.
  • Responsible for meeting deadlines for reports to timescales agreed with report audience.
  • Providing contextual understanding interpretation of the reports and data analysed to the report audience.
  • Being flexible and adaptable to changing situations reflected by the business requirements and the IS systems seeking advice and clarity where necessary and in line with guidelines set out by manager.
  • Initiating and suggesting improvements and developments to the existing reporting solutions. Performance monitoring of the defined business reporting tools and identifying process improvements where necessary.
  • Working closely with field management and accurately collecting user requirements to specify reports. Problem solving given a defined list of solutions to deliver reporting to agreed standard whilst being able to adapt and think laterally to problem solving when required.
  • Working to set procedures to deliver results to a given standard and suggesting improvements to Report Development Manager where required.

We are looking for:

  • Experience of Excel Business Objects or a similar reporting tool
  • Analytical and logical mindset
  • Approachable and flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills for cross functional working
  • Proven ability to communicate with audiences of a varying levels of technical proficiency
