Role Description/Purpose

Join our dedicated team in theBritish Council School of Madrid as a Secondary Teacher of Maths inspiring and guiding students across Key Stage 3 4 (English National Curriculum) and Key Stage 5 (Bilingual Baccalaureate BiBac). We are committed to delivering the highest standards of teaching and learning while providing exceptional pastoral care ensuring that every student reaches their full academic potential and grows as a global citizen.
In this role you will not only teach but also develop the subject area beyond the academic curriculum seeking innovative ways to offer students practical experiences that enhance their understanding and engagement. As a form tutor you will be an essential point of support for a group of students fostering strong communication with parents students and subject teachers to provide outstanding pastoral care and academic guidance.
We take pride in our excellence maintaining the highest rating across all areas of the British Schools Overseas (BSO) inspection. Your contribution will be key to sustaining this achievement.

Role Accountabilities

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Secondary Teacher of Maths to join our team committed to setting high expectations that inspire motivate and challenge pupils. The ideal candidate will promote excellent progress and outcomes demonstrating strong subject knowledge and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
Effective lesson planning and delivery are essential ensuring structured and engaging sessions that respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils. The role requires adaptability in teaching approaches enabling each student to achieve their potential through accurate and productive assessment strategies.
A safe and supportive learning environment is at the heart of what we do and effective behaviour management is a key responsibility. Beyond classroom teaching wider professional duties contribute to the holistic development of students and the school community.
