Position Summary
The Physician Assistant/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform order and interpret diagnostic and therapeutic investigations/ duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings.
Physician Assistants/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational requirements will include standardofpractice recordings of all patient encounters these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
Qualifications
- Must be eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba as a Physician Assistant or Clinical Assistant
- Must be eligible for a Medical Staff Appointment with the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority
- Prior experience preferred
Physician Assistants:
- Candidates must be a graduate of a Physician Assistant Educational Program acceptable to the College and eligible for national certification
Clinical Assistants:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Medical School in Canada or abroad
- Must have at least one of the following:
- Clinical Assistant Assessment
- NAC OSCE
- LMCC
