Lumentum Operations LLC is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Director of Sales to lead our sales and business development efforts for large North American Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM) accounts. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving sales growth and expanding our market presence in these accounts. This is a highly visible position reporting directly to the VP of Sales. The successful candidate will work closely with Product Management R&D and Operations to meet their objectives.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the sales and business development activities for large North American Network Equipment Manufacturer (NEM) accounts. Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales targets
- Build and maintain strong relationships at both working and exec levels internally and with the customer
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth
- Generate revenue and drive business growth by winning new design ins and managing existing business at large strategic accounts
- Provide market insights and competitive analysis to support strategic decision making
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including Product Line Management R&D FAE Quality and Customer Service to ensure customer satisfaction and product alignment with customer roadmaps
- Prepare and present sales reports forecasts and market analysis to senior management
- Secure customer order bookings and billings to meet quarterly business plan and AOP
Qualifications:
- A 4year technical degree (or equivalent)
- 12 years direct experience in sales and business development in a technology company
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets generating revenue winning new projects and managing Tier 1 accounts
- Strong communication presentation and negotiation skills
- Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers and internal teams
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and the ability to develop and implement effective sales strategies
- Selfstarter with a proactive approach to identifying and pursuing opportunities
- Resultsdriven with a strong focus on achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Sense of ownership and accountability for achieving business objectives
