Salary: $90000 (based on experience)
Title: Senior Electrical Engineer Ottawa (Onsite)
Were currently working with one of our trusted engineering consulting clients to find a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their growing Ottawa team. This is a fulltime onsite position suited for someone who thrives in a handson collaborative office setting and is looking to deepen their project leadership experience.
What youd be doing in this role
This is a key seniorlevel role for someone with 10 years of experience. Youll take ownership of complex projects and lead electrical portions of multidisciplinary projects with responsibilities including:
Designing and analyzing building electrical systems (power distribution lighting fire alarm data/communications etc.).
Performing electrical load calculations system analysis and equipment selection.
Coordinating with architects mechanical structural and other disciplines.
Applying building codes Canadian Electrical Code and standards appropriately to design and documentation.
Creating technical reports drawings and specifications.
Integrating sustainability and energy efficiency into your designs.
Taking part in project planning budgeting and client meetings.
Representing the firm in meetings and managing project teams.
Mentoring junior and intermediate engineers as needed.
Youre a match if you have
A Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering (or related discipline).
. designation (licensed in Ontario).
10 years of relevant experience in building systems electrical design.
Proficiency with AutoCAD Excel Adobe PDF and electrical engineering tools (such as ETAP SKM PowerTools etc.).
Solid understanding of building codes Canadian Electrical Code and engineering best practices.
Strong communication and coordination skills.
The ability to take initiative and manage multiple moving parts.
