Job Description

Role summary:

As a client relationship leader provokes creates and assembles opportunities for the properties and portfolio by sourcing and securing new tenants and working with existing tenants to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements. This role collaborates with internal departments to ensure a smooth transition through each of the client touch points.

What you will deliver:

  • Assist in the creation of the leasing vision and develop the leasing strategy.
  • Develop and establish well formulated strategic leasing plans for assigned assets that are aligned to the strategic approach for clients.
  • Identify source and secure new clients and work with existing clients to satisfy expansion/renewal requirements.
  • Negotiate deal terms with clients and follow up on the execution of final documentation.
  • Execute client service standards to ensure a smooth transition from the offer to lease through buildout of leasehold improvements and move in as well as rental billing.
  • Liaise with Real Estate Brokers prospective and existing tenants and department heads to provide all information required to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Build and sustain strong relationships with clients. Actively seek listen and respond to client feedback to ensure alignment of their needs to our goals.
  • Execute the strategic leasing plans; ensuring plans are adjusted to meet broad commitments and long term direction.
  • Collaborate and consult internally to build effective relationships across portfolios.
  • Proactively enhance Cadillac Fairviews image externally through industry events such as NAIOP Building Owners and Managers Association Real Estate Forum Urban Land Institute etc.
  • Execute the leasing team objectives ensuring marketing is consistent across the portfolio.
  • Ensure compliance with the companys delegated authorities policy and completion of appropriate business cases in a timely manner.
  • Manage and execute the budget for each asset to ensure alignment with the 3 and 5 year plan with monthly reporting of revenue.
  • Participate in special assignments at a portfolio and national level.


What your strengths are:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to deliver strong presentations in a confident and credible manner
  • Ability to impact and influence industry leaders
  • Aptitude for identifying assessing and managing both risks and opportunities
  • Ability to interpret financial data lease documents and market research
  • Ability to collaborate consult and build strong internal relationships within a national organization

What you need to succeed:

  • Post secondary education in a related discipline
  • 710yearsexperience in commercial real estate and lease management
  • Solid understanding ofcommercial leasing merchandisingand client needs
  • Ideally has a designation of Certified Leasing Specialist or other BOMA or recognized Real Estate Association designations in commercial leasing & merchandising
  • RECO License in good standing would be considered an asset
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Strong financial and business acumen
  • Demonstrated client focused approach to leasing
  • Demonstrated capacity to work under pressure and to embrace change
