Position Summary

Reporting to the Associate Director Accommodations Accessible Learning the Accommodation Consultant is responsible for the provision of services that support and enhance the educational experience of students with documented disabilities (e.g. physical mental health attention learning medical or sensory). This position will ensure that requests for academic accommodations are vetted and appropriately supported. Ensuring provision of academic accommodations the Accommodation Consultant will: (a) provide assessment and individualized planning (b) act as a liaison with faculty staff and students in an effort to support the implementation of accommodations plans (c) review and evaluate the effectiveness of academic accommodations (d) facilitate any needed changes (e) collaborate with on and off campus supports for seamless responses to student support needs and (f) identify new supports and mechanisms that support a student driven model. The incumbent will work in collaboration with other services and staff within Accessible Learning to ensure timely access to identified supports and will be responsible for tracking utilization statistics including trends and issues.

Hours of Work

This is a Fulltime Limitedterm position with an anticipated end date of October 31 2025. Regular hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Some flexibility may be required due to periods of high volume. When possible the manager will adjust hours so that no more than 35 hours are worked in a week.

This role offers limited flexibility regarding flexible work arrangements. Please see Policy 8.14 (Flexible Work Policy) for more information. All arrangement must be approved by the direct manager. On occasion this schedule may need to be adjusted to meet operational requirements.

Compensation

Level:F

Rate of Pay:$45.34 to $47.94 per hour with an annual step progression on anniversary date up to $51.82 per hour.

Considerations for new hire step placements include qualifications and length/depth of required experience relevant market rates for similar jobs internal equity and estimated learning curve in starting the job.
