The Opportunity
Join our Group Finance team as an Accountant on a 12 month Fixed Term Contract in an integral part of our broader Finance department. Youll build proactive relationships with various Finance teams Dexus Business Units and external auditors. Your diverse responsibilities will include corporate accounting advising on financial reporting for specific transactions delivering insightful Board reports and coordinating halfyear and yearend audits to meet deadlines.
You will make an impact by:
Performing corporate accounting tasks and provide practical financial solutions to support Dexuss strategic and financial goals.
Offering transaction support including financial due diligence and impact assessments for asset and corporate (M&A) transactions.
Assisting in delivering yearend and halfyear financial results maintaining regular communication with external auditors.
Preparing and deliver Board papers ensuring insightful and accurate reporting.
Assessing and implement new accounting standards and drive process improvements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Fostering a strong risk culture and efficient control environment while adhering to health and safety protocols and reporting any workplace incidents.
About You
Tertiary qualification in finance/commerce/business CA/CPA qualified with a minimum of 2 years postqualification experience.
Understanding of statutory reporting or transaction experience ideally within the property industry and exposure to ASX listed environments or chartered accounting/audit environments.
Strong accounting technical skills analytical skills and experience with Yardi (advantageous).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain complex matters clearly to various stakeholders.
Project management skills initiative problemsolving abilities strong attention to detail and eagerness to learn.
