About the role
This position is based on the Surgical Ward at Calvary St Lukes Private Hospital including Orthopaedic ENT and Day Ward. Please note demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting is essential to qualify for this role.
The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction of the Registered Nurse and is responsible for providing safe effective and appropriate patient care in a patientfocused environment within the Findlay surgical unit at Calvary St Lukes Hospital. Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager the Enrolled Nurse works within a team of dedicated staff who providesupport encouragement and foster safe clinical practice.
Your main duties will include:
- Participate in the delivery of a patient centred model of care within a safe environment.
- Perform the function of an Enrolled Nurse Medication Endorsed within scope of practise.
- Demonstrate competent and safe practise when administering medications including nursing duties.
What you bring:
- AHPRA Registration with a current practising certificate
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting
- Ability to work proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
- Demonstrated communication interpersonal skills and customer service skills
- A desire to join a team committed to the care of others with a cando attitude in a mission based organisation
