About the Role:
FixTerm PartTime role delivering expert psychosocial care as part of the St Vincents NELUNE Mens Health Centre focused on men with prostate cancer and related conditions.
As the sole clinical psychologist youll work with other allied health clinicians and prostate cancer nurse to provide supportive outpatient services to prostate cancer patients who are at various stages of their cancer survivorship attend weekly MDT meeting involve in quality improvement initiates and participate CPD with other oncology psychologists at Kinghorn cancer centre.
Provide clinical counselling advocacy and consultation to patients and staff addressing complex physical and emotional health needs.
Support vulnerable and priority populations by ensuring equitable access to comprehensive care across public and private settings.
Contribute to service excellence through evidencebased practice innovation and alignment with St Vincents mission and values.
About You:
Highly motivated Clinical Psychologist with full registration with AHPRA and endorsed in Clinical Psychology and/or Health Psychology holding a postgraduate Masters or Doctorate in Clinical Psychology.
Clinical expertise in hospital and oncology settings including experience supporting patients with prostate cancer and complex comorbidities.
Committed to personcentred recoveryfocused care skilled in engaging consumers in the codesign of their treatment plans with a strong emphasis on empowerment autonomy and psychological wellbeing.
Collaborative and compassionate team member who works effectively within multidisciplinary teams and builds strong relationships with GPs service partners and external care providers.
Organised articulate and proactive with excellent time management documentation and communication skills and proven experience supervising provisional psychologists earlycareer colleagues and peers within a structured supervision framework.
