Lineworker - Geraldton (81301)

As a Lineworker youll ensure our community has a safe and reliable electricity supply by constructing and maintaining transmission and distribution networks. Youll respond quickly to faults to minimise disruptions deliver highquality work and adapt to evolving industry standards. Working in various conditions youll plan and execute tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining positive customer interactions.

Your Role in Action

• Attending and rectifying faults in a timely manner will ensure minimal loss of supply and less disruption to the customer.
• Complete allocated construction and maintenance work to Western Power standards ensuring consistent quality across the network.
• Maintaining and enhancing core Line skills with changing industry standards and business requirements.
• Participating in prejob planning to identify risks hazards and task variables and control measures to ensure safe reliable and affordable job completion.
• Working in environmental elements to complete jobs subject to adequate safety and control measures being implemented.
• Good customer relations are upheld when working in the field especially where there is direct contact with the public.

Your Role in Action

• Construct and maintain in a team environment the distribution electricity network to maintain the integrity of the network in a safe reliable and affordable manner to ensure an uninterrupted supply to customers and within all applicable guidelines and regulations.
• Rectifying faults promptly and isolate the network for repairs to maintain the integrity of the network and minimise customer impact.
• Execute programmed construction and maintenance work to ensure safe reliable and affordable operation of the network.
• Construct network infrastructure according to design specifications and construction standards. Deal with daytoday technical issues that can arise on site relating to design and construction issues.

What Makes You a Great Fit

• Certificate III in ESI Power Systems Distribution Overhead
• Or New Zealand Electricity Supply (Distribution) Minimum Level 4 Essential
• Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of transmission and/or distribution electricity network.
• Demonstrated industry experience in the construction and maintenance of the distribution electricity network.
• Relevant Network Authorisation including Construction industry white card and Basic Emergency Life Support
• Minimum HR license
