Job Description
- First principles estimating in the energy and resources sector
- Preparation of capital cost estimates to meet industry standard estimate classification guidelines
- Application and efficient utilisation of approved work breakdown and cost breakdown structures
- An ability to work effectively as part of a team to ensure that all deliverables are met
- Support key tendering activities including preparation of pretender estimates
- Analysis of construction project change and the provision of feedback on areas of risk and opportunities
- Working collaboratively and seamlessly with all other key project and programme functions such as; cost risk and planning teams
- Analyse and assess costs and estimates provided by suppliers and contractors
- Providing process and technical estimating support production of feasibility studies
- Provide estimating support to manage project budget and scope (Value Engineering)
Qualifications :
- Must be in Australia and full working rights.
- A recognised Degree Qualification in Engineering Quantity Surveying MRICS / AIQS accreditation or other relevant qualification is ideal
- At least 510 years relevant estimating work experience
- relevant sector experience preferably in Natural resources
- Proficient in the use of CostX Unifer Ecosys PRISM Candy or other equivalent tools
- Proficient in the use of Excel
- Ability to demonstrate attention to detail
- Team player with the ability to work autonomously
- Excellent command of written and spoken English with report writing skills; and
- Highly motivated and passionate individual showing a clear ability to deliver great outcomes for clients.
