Eastpointe Community Schools is in the business of transforming lives. Our partnership with the Macomb Intermediate School District (MISD) Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and University of Virginias Partners for Leaders in Education (UVAPLE) has created a unique opportunity for rapid district turnaround. Part of our continued growth and improvement involves increasing educational expectations developing a culture of support and nurturing all students to address academic behavioral and interpersonal needs.

Our Eastpointe Secondary Campus is a unique venue supporting approximately 800 students in grades 812. Our campus consists of three schools on one campus (8th Grade Academy a traditional high school setting for grades 912 and a Virtual Academy/Alternative Center). We prepare our students for college and career. Our secondary campus is a great fit for you with a stellar and supportive staff including two counselors one assistant principal a DEAN instructional coaches and mentors. Look at EHS for Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS) Academic and Athletic Coaching opportunities including STEM and Curriculum Department Teams.

What we are looking for: If you are passionate about inspiring excellent Literacy instruction guiding

Language Arts learners and growing strong relationships with families students and our community we are looking for you! If you understand the PLC Cycle are enthusiastic about professional Language Arts learning and deliver Literacy value consistently we want you!

Minimum Job Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Education with English Major or beyond

State of Michigan Teaching Certification grades 612 or in process

Knowledgeable in student management techniques; organizational skills; community oriented

Experience working with a diverse population; Successful Classroom teaching experience
