St. Augustine School located in downtown Andover offers a highquality Catholic education for over 400 students from Nursery through Grade 8. We are currently accepting applications for a passionate and innovative STEM Teacher to lead instruction in our updated St. Joseph the Worker STEM Lab. The ideal candidate will be a missiondriven educator who combines technical expertise with a love of teaching and a deep commitment to Catholic education.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging STEM lessons and projects for students in Grades K8 that promote inquiry creativity and problemsolving.
- Integrate Catholic values and Church teachings into STEM instruction encouraging students to see faith and reason as complementary.
- Incorporate handson learning experiences that utilize the schools updated STEM Lab facilities and resources.
- Develop crosscurricular units in collaboration with classroom teachers to reinforce STEM concepts in core subject areas.
- Support schoolwide STEM initiatives including science fairs coding clubs and innovation challenges.
- Use formative and summative assessments to measure student understanding and growth.
- Maintain accurate student records in the FACTS Student Information System.
- Communicate regularly with parents and colleagues about student progress and classroom activities.
- Foster a classroom environment that is welcoming orderly and rooted in mutual respect and Christian love.
- Accompany students in experiences of faith such as school Masses Eucharistic Adoration and prayer services.
- Participate in faculty meetings school events and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated commitment to the Catholic faith and to the mission of Catholic education.
- Bachelors degree in Education Engineering Science Technology or a related field (Masters preferred).
- Comfort and proficiency in using ageappropriate technology robotics kits and digital tools.
- Ability to integrate Catholic teaching into STEM content and to inspire students to explore the intersection of faith and science.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Collaborative joyful spirit and a genuine love of working with children.
