About Us:
At 1st Americare Home Health we are dedicated to providing exceptional home healthcare services that enhance the quality of life for our patients. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team in Leonia New Jersey. In this role you will provide high-quality care to a wheelchair-bound patient in a home setting working overnight shifts to ensure their comfort and well-being.
Job Summary:
As an RN & LPN in our home healthcare team you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care during the night shift. You will work closely with the patient and their family providing support and medical care in a home setting.
SCHEDULE:
MONDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY 7AM TO 7PM
FRIDAY 7AM TO 7PM
SCHOOL CASE - NURSE TO ACCOMPANY PATIENT TO SCHOOL.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the patients physician.
- Monitor the patients vital signs manage medical equipment and assess overall health status.
- Assist with activities of daily living and provide support with mobility and positioning.
- Collaborate with the patients family to ensure effective care and comfort.
- Document all care activities observations and changes in the patients condition accurately.
- Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or changes in the patients condition.
Qualifications:
- Valid and active RN or LPN license in the state of New Jersey.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Reliable with a strong sense of responsibility and professionalism.
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts as required.
- Experience with gtube/trach/vent highly preferred.
