Today we are an inclusive multilingual and immigrantled nonprofit serving new refugees and immigrants including Minnesotas Asian East and West African and Latinx communities as well as underserved US born communities. Over 10000 individuals are served annually across four core service areas of Community Advocacy Refugee Services Economic Empowerment and Civic Engagement.
This position is responsible for helping to educate connect conduct outreach and oversee recovery health activities to Hmong and AAPI community members in Brooklyn Center and North Minneapolis to increase understanding of and participation in COVID19 related activities and health recovery. Bilingual skills are required.

III. Core Job Functions
- COVID19 Testing/Vaccination Outreach* 10%
- Conducts COVID19 outreach to educate community members about the availability and importance of vaccinations testing case interviews and contact tracing.
- Works with CAPIs Food Shelf staff to conduct outreach to households on a weekly basis.
- Work with CAPIs Communications Manager and the Minnesota Department of Health maintain social media campaigns to educate Hmong community on COVID19 case interviews and contact tracing.
- Conducts specific outreach with community partners to reach Hmong community members.
- Accurately and timely utilizes client management system compiles data and assists with contract reporting.
- Meets facetoface and fields calls with people seeking information on COVID19 testing.
- COVID Testing Technical Assistance* 15%
- Provides oneonone assistance to community members to facilitate COVID19 testing/vaccination registration.
- Provide access to translation/interpretation assistance.
- Accurately and timely utilizes client management system compiles data and assists with contract reporting.
- Manage External Relationships* 10%
- Actively participate in meetings with the Minnesota Department of Health and other service providers to share information on community needs regularly sharing output outcomes and best practices with collaboration member agencies.
- Serves as a strong team player helping CAPI achieve its mission and strategic imperatives* 10%
- Attends and consistently contributes at Human Services and/or CAPI all staff team meetings.
- Represents and promotes the agencys mission and programs in a variety of public settings (outreach sites events organizations referring agencies etc.).
- Works with all CAPI staff to capitalize on integrated programming/internal resources.
- Models a customers come first and assetbased service philosophy.
- Fulfills other tasks and assignments that enable the agency to fulfill its mission in the community.
- Civic Engagement/Public Policy* 5%
- Support CAPIs agencywide Civic Engagement and Public Policy values and initiatives and incorporate civic engagement and Public Policy into routine case management work.
- Participate in voter registration and pledge drives educational/outreach initiatives GOTV activities and Public Policy initiatives.
- Health Recovery Activities* 15%
- Organize and managing Holistic Hmong Senior Healing Circle activities meant to be culturally relevant
- Communicate with subgrantees and contractors if needed
- Manage partnership with Yoga Sanctuary in free public yoga sessions
- Organize community general health clinics
- Manage connections with health providers

- Position Requirements
- Education and Experience
- Twoyear degree or Equivalent
- Experience in public health and working with diverse communities and lowincome populations
- Mental Health education/training strongly desired
- Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Fluency in Hmong language required
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse and/or lowincome populations
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to work both as a team member and independently with minimum supervision
- Effective time management ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
- Excellent customer service relationship and problemsolving skills
- Able to work effectively in a missiondriven agency whose clients and staff exhibit significant diversity with respect to race ethnicity gender orientation socioeconomic status nationality and religion

- Valid drivers license access to reliable transportation and the ability to meet agencys driving record requirements
V. Working Conditions and Environment |
This position is temporary and not benefit eligible and located in an office setting. The building is accessible and smoke free. This position works during normal business hours and may include evening and/or weekend hours.
