DescriptionThe Special Events Assistant is responsible for support in the planning and execution of a variety of events for the organization. This role involves assisting the Supervisor Special Events in the coordination of event logistics liaising with vendors and ensuring that all events run smoothly and efficiently. The position reports directly to the Supervisor Special Events.
Responsibilities- Assist in planning and executing corporate events such as conferences seminars workshops and networking events.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to determine event requirements and objectives.
- Liaise with vendors including caterers AV technicians decorators and venue staff.
- Supports event logistics including but not limited to: registration transportation accommodations and scheduling.
- Helps to ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations during events.
- Contributes to the preparation of postevent reports including feedback analysis and recommendations for future events.
- Maintains accurate records and documentation for all events.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in event management software and tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail and problemsolving skills.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for event execution.
QualificationsMinimum Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum Required Experience Type:2 years event planning and coordination; Healthcare event planning experience is a plus.
