As a Sales Representative youll be joining an independent manufacturers representative firm specializing in construction products and building envelope systems across North Carolina South Carolina and Virginia. You will focus on maintaining and growing relationships with clients providing expert consultation on our product offerings. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills an aptitude for construction and a proactive assertive approach to client engagement.
Responsibilities:
Serve as a relationshipbased sales representative engaging with both new and existing clients.
Communicate with architects and industry professionals to provide product information and follow up on inquiries.
Utilize a CRM system to track client interactions manage followups and maintain accurate records.
Provide customer service and administrative support ensuring client needs are met in a timely manner.
Stay informed on construction products building envelope systems and industry trends to provide expert recommendations.
Understand and navigate the construction cycle to support client projects effectively.
Read and interpret construction plans and specifications to provide accurate product recommendations.
Coordinate with internal teams and manufacturers to ensure product availability and technical support.
Handle administrative and technical responsibilities as needed to support sales operations and client requests.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Experience in the construction industry.
Strong understanding of the construction cycle and sales cycle.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications.
Understanding of the sales cycle and best practices in relationship management.
Strong communication and relationshipbuilding skills.
Highly organized with attention to detail and followthrough.
Proactive selfmotivated and assertive in client interactions.
