Qualifications
Education
- M.S. in Physician Assistant Studies MSN or DNP from accredited nursing school
- Active PA or APRN license in Illinois
- Board Certified
- Active DEA and controlled substance License
- Active CPR Certification
Experience:
- Minimum of two years of experience as Family practice and/or primary care
- Preferred experience serving in FQHC Community Health Centers or traditionally unserved patient populations
- Preferred Medical Spanish experience or highly motivated to learn to utilize interpreters for patient encounters in foreign languages
Skills and Knowledge
- Commitment to increasing number of APRNs working in underserved communities and providing highquality compassionate patient care.
- Comfort with providing clear and constructive feedback
- Energetic deadlinedriven selfstarter
- Excellent organizational and project management skills
- Working knowledge of PC using Microsoft products such as Word and Power Point in a Windows operating environment
- Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with preceptors partners clinical staff managers and directors.
- Interest in and comfort with working with diverse patient population
- Knowledge of or interest in learning medical Spanish
