The Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering is seeking a visiting faculty member. Candidates must have an outstanding record of accomplishment and have an interest in collaborative research. Additional information about the Coulter School of Engineering and its departments can be found at as well as resources available at Clarksons interdisciplinary centers Purpose: This position supports the teaching mission of the department fills research gaps and contributes to departmental and university service.
Lead and teach engineering courses that satisfy the departments teaching mission.
Contribute expertise in research that complements the departments strategic initiatives in process systems engineering biomaterials plasma engineering electrochemistry energy and semiconductor processing.
Advise students on their career paths.
Be willing to contribute and lead departmental and university committees.
Cultivate a safe respectful environment for student achievement.
Assist with other projects administrative duties and initiatives as assigned.
Education
Minimal Qualifications
A PhD degree in chemical engineering or a related fields.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. in chemical engineering or related fields including a strong publication record and interest in teaching both undergraduate and graduate courses.
Experience
Minimal Qualifications
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge/experience in chemical engineering.
Preferred Qualification:
Experience with teaching or assisting teaching a chemical engineering course.
Excellence in scholarship.
Outstanding communication skills.
Ability to manage teaching research and service projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity equity inclusion and belonging.
