Our Lady of Fatima School located in the Magnolia neighborhood of Seattle has been serving our community since 1954. The school is rooted in its values of love community faith stewardship and joy and serves 300 students from preschool through 8th grade. OLF is seeking an instructional assistant to join our faculty of committed faithfilled and collaborative educators.

OLF is seeking an instructional assistant to join our faculty of committed faithfilled and collaborative educators for theacademic year. The successful candidate will join our Lower Elementaty Team collaborating with teachers who teach kindergarten and 1st grade students. This is a fulltime position.

Responsibilities include:

Conduct instructional activities assigned by the teacher; work with individual students or small groups to practice and/or reinforce learning concepts and assist students in reaching their academic goals and gradelevel standards
Assist in classroom management and help maintain a neat and orderly classroom environment
Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and with the administration and scoring of objective testing instruments or work assignments
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers
Function as an appropriate role model for children providing proper examples emotional support a friendly attitude and general guidance
Help supervise students throughout the school day inside and outside the classroom. This includes lunchroom and playground duty.
Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students.
Strive to model the teachings of Jesus through attitude and example
Possess a willingness to collaborate with colleagues

Qualifications:

AA degree or higher
Should be able to meet Seattle Archdiocese Safe Environment standards
Preferably at least one year of relevant experience in an educational or childcare setting

Compensation

Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications. The hourly pay ranges from $23 to $29 depending on years of experience.
