Overview
Note: This position has a hybrid work schedule in Pearl River New York
This role handles small size markets for the Local Media group with assistance of Group Buying Supervisor/Director. The Associate Negotiator buys assigned group of markets while maintaining assistant responsibilities for his/her own buying.
Responsibilities
- Negotiates and buys small media markets as assigned
- Works with Trade Specialist to negotiate trade deals within their markets
- Orders schedules with reps/stations as well as revise buy schedules as needed
- Proofs all station contracts before buy airs
- Creates and maintains buying folding
- Inputs and proofs schedule revisions and makegoods
- Reconciles Invoice Matching Reports in Spectra OX System
- Maintains good relations with other collaborating Active departments
- Maintains appropriate and responsive working relationships with reps as well as station management
- Ensures assigned accounts have accurate timelines account projects adhere to budget target audience is met and that all outgoing documents are clean clear and concise
- Monitors media schedule to ensure delivery of schedule / 10% of goal for post
Supervisory Responsibilities
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

The salary range for this role is $50000 $55000. The successful candidates salary will depend on the actual ranges of current employees in the subject position market considerations budgetary considerations geography as well as the candidates skill set level of experience and qualifications. Qualifications
- BA degree preferred or equivalent experience is required
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of media experience including 1 year of experience in assisting on assigned media markets
- Internal candidates must have successfully completed Actives buyer training program
- Proficiency in SpectraOx (MediaBank) is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required
