Position: Procurement Engineer
Type of Hiring: Permanent
Working: 5 Days/Week (Monday Friday)
Location: Bangkok (Near BTS)
Starting Date: ASAP
Responsibilities:
Strategic Sourcing & Procurement:
- Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers and vendors for materials equipment and services required for engineering and industrial projects.
- Ensure procurement activities align with project timelines quality standards and cost targets.
Supplier Relationship Management:
- Establish and maintain longterm relationships with key suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance in terms of quality cost and delivery schedules.
- Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors proactively.
Contract Management & Negotiation:
- Prepare review and negotiate contracts purchase agreements and servicelevel agreements.
- Ensure terms and conditions comply with legal and corporate policies.
Crossfunctional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with engineering operations and project management teams to define technical specifications and procurement strategies.
- Support internal stakeholders with technical evaluations and procurement planning.
Cost Optimization & Risk Mitigation
- Analyze procurement data and market trends to identify costsaving opportunities.
- Develop risk mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain continuity.
Documentation & Compliance:
- Maintain accurate procurement records including RFQs POs invoices and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards safety regulations and company policies.
Project Support:
- Participate in project meetings to provide procurement input.
- Track procurement status and update stakeholders regularly.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Electrical Industrial or related discipline).
- 5 years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles ideally within the heavy industry engineering or industrial solutions sector.
- Proven track record of managing largescale technical procurement and vendor negotiations.
- Proficient in ERP systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and procurement software.
- Familiar with contract law and commercial terms.
- Excellent negotiation communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problemsolving abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of international procurement practices is an advantage.
- Good command of English.
