We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Ruby on Rails Principal Developer to join our team. As a Principal Developer you will play a key role in designing developing and maintaining our Ruby on Rails applications.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust scalable and highperformance Ruby on Rails applications.
- Lead the architectural design and implementation of new features and enhancements.
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams including designers operations sales etc. to gather requirements and deliver highquality software solutions.
- Security Domain experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Someone with GREAT communication skills that can be a great culture fit with the company.
- A team player someone who can take and give advice.
- Conduct code reviews identify areas for improvement enforce coding standards and Git best practices.
Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience in Ruby on Rails development with a deep understanding of the frameworks principles conventions and best practices.
- Proficiency in Git including experience with branching merging and managing code repositories.
- Proven track record of designing and building scalable and highperformance Ruby on Rails applications.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API principles and best practices. Experience with API documentation tools such as Swagger or Postman.
- Familiarity with API security standards and implementation including authentication and authorization mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of web technologies including HTML CSS JavaScript and jQuery.
- Proficiency in database systems such as PostgreSQL.
- Experience with frontend frameworks like React is a plus.
- Solid understanding of software development principles design patterns and objectoriented programming.
- Strong problemsolving and analytical skills with the ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and technologies.
- Bachelors degree in computer science Engineering or a related field is preferred.
- Must be available to work USA time zone (9am EST 5pm EST
- Experience understanding DevOps is a plus.
