Job Description
You will be designing implementing and maintaining an infrastructure that is hosting a microservicesbased application on AWS. Missioncritical stable longterm global product.
The decisionmaking center for infrastructurerelated topics is located directly inside our team. We choose the technologies we design the architecture. We implement it. We maintain it.
From a Junior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer we require basic technical knowledge more than technical skills we value his cando attitude and ability to learn being guided in the right direction.
Key areas of responsibility:
- Provide Support for development teams working on innovative cloudbased application for Hospitality Industry
- Designing and implementing infrastructurerelated automation tools
- Automating DevOps internal workflows
Our daily work:
- We use Kanban to manage tasks
- Our teamwork is based on Jira
- We participate in daily weekly and retro meetings
- We use Gitlab as a code repository with a trunkbased development approach
- We use Gitlab CI to automate our (and others) jobs
- We build environments in AWS with Terraform/Terragrunt
- We develop deployment solutions for Kubernetes
- We support local environments with Docker/dockercompose (for developers)
- We create libraries tools and AWS Lambdas in Python
- We create Docker images for automation and internal usage
- We act using the Everything as Code philosophy
- We do not release applications to the environments (there is a dedicated team of Release Managers)
- We use MS Teams to spread knowledge and participate in meetings

Our System:
- Our primary cloud service provider isAWS. We use most of the popular services includingEC2 S3 RDS SES SNSand many more
- We write all of our infrastructure as code usingTerraformandTerragrunt
- Our application that is written Coreruns on top ofKubernetescluster deployed inEKS
- We have very large observability stack that includes collecting logs and metrics and visualizing it inGrafanaandKibana
- DevOps Team are also responsible for managingGitLab JenkinsandNexus
- We write our internal tool set usingPythonandGolang
Qualifications :
- Experience in managing and troubleshooting GNU/Linux operating systems.
- Experience working with Docker and dockercompose.
- Basic networking skills.
- Basic programming skills (Bash or Python preferred).
- Basic knowledge of AWS (EC2 S3 IAM VPC Lambda) or similar cloud platforms.
Nice to have:
- Experience with CI/CD processes using GitLab.

How we work hybrid work:
- Employees up to 50 km from the office (Katowice) 4 times a month
- Employees from 50 to 100 km from the office 2 times a month
