The State Research Coordinator will support in developing the protocol for the LDSS and LADB research on the HepC3 grant in Oyo and coordinate the research implementation political buyin documentation and reporting of the project deliverables in Oyo State. He/she will participate in TWG meetings on HepC3 analyze and use data to improve program outcomes. He/she will write technical reports abstracts and journal publications.
The individual will also be responsible for overseeing and coordinating all HEPC3P research activities amongst PWIDs in Oyo State.
Specific Purposes of the Job:
1. Programme Delivery
Colead the coordination of all HEPC3P activities at the State level (research support to staff at the state level) in line with the project work plan. Ensure the implementation of project activities promptly.
Oversee the daily activity of the HEPC3P grant and ensure the implementation of all project deliverables in the state.
Support the coordination of activities of the HEPC3P project at SMOH serving as a bridge between the IP SACA and SASCP.
Participate in the updating of LDSS protocol ensuring the timely inputs of all relevant stakeholders (CAB SMoH e.t.c.).
Map out PWID CBOs facilities and IPs at the implementing site.
Coordinate and carry out advocacy visits to key stakeholders at the State level.
Monitor and supervise appropriate referral of PWIDs positive to HCV for confirmatory tests and possible treatment.
2. Implementation and Documentation of Project Activities
Participate in the review of the National and State Database for Viral Hepatitis; specifically for highrisk/key populations.
Compile and document important program documents such as quarterly work plans project reports meeting minutes etc.
Participate actively in internal and external project related meetings.
Contribute to the documentation and electronic filling of all project documentation.
Participate actively in the development of IEC and communication materials.
Contribute to the development of Hepatitis training curriculum.
Harmonize and write periodic reports of all project activities.
Acts as a lead resource person/data bank on all Project related issues in the State.
Develop project related abstracts and manuscripts ready for publication and identify potential journals for the publication of various topics.
Provide timely feedback and lessons learnt from the Project implementation for future planning of interventions.
3. Reporting General Administration and Finance
Contribute to the development and sharing of the project s weekly and quarterly reports.
Maintain and manage good relationships with all stakeholders.
Work closely and collaborate with all stakeholders on matters regarding viral hepatitis.
Assist with event logistics including audio/visual and PowerPoint. presentations registrations and materials for successful implementation.
Contribute to the development and execution of the project s activity budgets.
4. Monitoring and Evaluation
Support the Human Centered Design for LDSS.
Manage clean up and report data generated for the intervention at the implementing site and send it to the Project Lead.
Requirements
Education
- A university degree or its equivalent in Science/Social/Behavioural/ MedicalSciences or related field of study.
- Master s will be an added advantage
Experience
- Minimum of 4 years post NYSC experience in research and management of healthrelated programmes.
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and write scientific research
- Must be computer literate and proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite at the minimum. Capacity to use research and data analysis tools like SPSS Kobo Collect Excel Power BI etc will be of added advantage.
- Experience in implementing an HIV/Hepatitis project
- Knowledge of Programme management including conceptualization budget design implementation and evaluation with experience in KP programming as an added advantage.
- Demonstrated ability through previous experience to establish and maintain productive working relationships with a wide network of partners and stakeholders.
